Thanks to our supporters!

The Reds goals for 2019 may be … um … narrowing, but as our attention turns to 2020 there’s plenty to write about and discuss. We hope you’ll choose to be a part of that here at Reds Content Plus. We’ve got exciting plans for the offseason, Spring Training and next season.

Matt Wilkes and I started this site a few months ago to offer Cincinnati Reds fans a way to keep up with ongoing changes in Major League Baseball. Yes, we preview and recap each Reds game and cover important Reds news items. But our emphasis is in-depth analysis of Reds players, manager, coaches and front office, including ownership.

A few other writers — Matt Habel, Nick Carrington and Mike Maffie — joined us. And you can look for a few other new (but perhaps familiar) names to come. Each of them carries a similar commitment to providing an independent voice when it comes to the Reds.

Matt and I made a few other choices when we started Reds Content Plus. You’ll never see internet advertising here, or auto-video loads, pop-up ads, profanity or personal attacks. That’s our pledge. Of course we want people to read what we write, but we’ll never shape our content to maximize clicks or viewers to make money.

Yet, we are committed to paying our authors for their work. That’s where you, our readers, come in.

Direct support from our readers is our only source of revenue. We appreciate there are many ways you can spend your money following the Cincinnati Reds. We hope you find unique value in what we’re doing here.

We’ve made it as easy as possible for you to support us. You can contribute either through the Support RC+ item in the top menu or our Patreon site. Any amount is appreciated. If you contribute $20/month, that makes you an Insider and we’ll add your name to the honor roll list of Brian Dunn, John Franke and Mike Hart on our sidebar.

Thanks for reading. The gang here at Reds Content Plus wants to express our deep gratitude to everyone who stops by here to read, comment and support the site.

Sincerely,

Steve Mancuso

Steve Mancuso is a lifelong Reds fan who grew up during the Big Red Machine era. He’s been writing about the Reds for more than ten years. Steve’s fondest memories about the Reds include attending a couple 1975 World Series games, being at Homer Bailey’s second no-hitter and going nuts for Jay Bruce at Clinchmas. Steve was also at all three games of the 2012 NLDS, but it’s too soon to talk about that.
