We have a daily newsletter!

Reds Content Plus now has a newsletter! It’s called The Morning Spin and it lands in members’ email inboxes daily. It’s written by Matt Wilkes and Steve Mancuso. As the name indicates, it arrives early in the morning, Monday through Saturday.

What’s in it?

The Morning Spin offers analysis of the latest Reds news. It covers the players, manager, front office and ownership. Each morning, you’ll get analysis of the game the night before and an in-depth look at the game upcoming later that day. It’ll scout the pitching matchup and other important opponent players.

The first issue published this morning. It analyzed news reports on the starting rotation, reliever Cionel Perez, Eugenio Suarez moving to shortstop and Jose De Leon’s role. You’ll also find feature articles where Matt and Steve explain why they think Luis Castillo and Nick Senzel will be Reds breakout players in 2021.

As you’ve come to expect reading here, The Morning Spin takes advantage of the latest data and statistics to help us sort out what’s really going on with the team.

We’re offering a free 3-day subscription where you don’t have to give your payment information, just an email address. If you like the newsletter, become a member for just $5/month. You can cancel any time. We’re just doing this through the end of the season. So six months would be 150 newsletters for a total of $30, or 20 cents a day. That’s super cheap for receiving up-to-date Reds news and analysis, delivered directly to you.

Sign up now and you’ll start receiving The Morning Spin tomorrow. We hope you’ll give us a look.

Matt Wilkes

Matt Wilkes got hooked on Reds baseball after attending his first game in Cinergy Field at 6 years old, and he hasn’t looked back. As a kid, he was often found imitating his favorite players — Ken Griffey Jr., Adam Dunn, Sean Casey, and Austin Kearns — in the backyard. When he finally went inside, he was leading the Reds to 162-0 seasons in MVP Baseball 2005 or keeping stats for whatever game was on TV. He started writing about baseball in 2014 and has become fascinated by analytics and all the new data in the game. Matt is also a graduate of The Ohio State University and currently lives in Columbus. Follow him on Twitter at @_MattWilkes.

I can’t find any place to get support for the Morning Spin, or an email to touch base about technical problems. I’ve subscribed but am not receiving the newsletter (its not in the spam folder). Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, Richard! Thanks for subscribing and sorry you’re having issues. We’re going to reach out to Revue to see if we can get to the bottom of what’s going on. In the meantime, you may try updating your account info with a second email address. You could also try checking your “Bulk” folder. Please let us know if this works or if you need anymore help. We’ll keep you posted when we hear back from Revue’s support team.
