Wade Miley to IL with groin injury, Desclafani and Mahle to start in Detroit

The Reds beat writers have reported that pitcher Wade Miley will go on the IL tomorrow with a groin injury. Anthony DeSclafani, who has been on the IL with a shoulder injury, will take Miley’s place in the rotation and pitch on Saturday in Detroit. Tyler Mahle, who took DeSclafani’s spot will stay on turn and pitch on Sunday.

Miley pitched against the Cubs on Monday and didn’t make it through two innings. Mahle pitched Tuesday night and threw 4 innings, giving up 2 runs.
