Steve Mancuso

Steve Mancuso is a lifelong Reds fan who grew up during the Big Red Machine era. He’s been writing about the Reds for more than ten years. Steve’s fondest memories about the Reds include attending a couple 1975 World Series games, being at Homer Bailey’s second no-hitter and going nuts for Jay Bruce at Clinchmas. Steve was also at all three games of the 2012 NLDS, but it’s too soon to talk about that.

    I thought Schebler was gone.

    • Steve Mancuso says:

They can try to trade Schebler between now and Opening Day. When it comes time to make the Opening Day declaration, they’ll either need to keep him on the major league roster or release him. No options left.

  2. Zach Pearson says:

    I can’t believe they left of Derek Dietrich… Wow…

    • Steve Mancuso says:

Reading between the lines, my guess is they offered DD assignment to Mason and he is thinking about turning it down. That’s why Nick Krall made a point to say DD is still under Reds contract.
